Auction: Getting Donations - Tips From Penny
Last year SPA member Penny Lambright offered some great suggestions for Parents who are soliciting donations for the Auction. Check it out!
I keep a folder in my car so I am always ready to ask for a donation. I have a theme - double pocketed folder containing plastic-sheet protected articles about Sturgis & the Sturgis SPA letter, the carbon donation slips (with the all important tax ID #) and a clip board.

We are so proud of our kids and so proud of Sturgis, lets all help make this the best Auction ever !
Sturgis doesn't ask much of us as families, if we each get a minimum of three donations and invite at least three friends, we just might reach our goal.
Do you remember selling over priced cookies, cookie dough, magazines, oranges, candy and many more highly inflated items for your child's school or club frequently throughout the year at past schools your child has attended ? We are very lucky that Sturgis does not burden us with that. We do ask that you support this wonderful school once a year.
We recommend that you get the donations sooner rather than later. Cape businesses are always very slow in January and February.
If you need any suggestions or help, please contact your team leader or anyone on the Auction committee. We are all more than happy to help!
