How To Use The SturgisParents.com Carpool Forum

The carpool forum has been added to the Sturgis Parents Association web site as a tool for parents who are looking to organize carpools in their area. To view and post messages in the carpool forum, you must register on SturgisParents.com. The forums are the only "members only" part of SturgisParents.com
Please be advised, we recommend that you post a general message, not specific information such as home addresses and phone numbers. Once registered, you can email other parents by clicking on their Screen Name to exchange specific information.
How to REGISTER on SturgisParents.com
1. To Register, visit www.SturgisParents.com and on the left side of the homepage under "SPA MEMBERS" click on the
REGISTER link.
2. Fill out the REGISTER form with a username (log-in name, please use your real name), password, screen name (name that will be displayed) and a valid email address (preferably the email address on file with the Sturgis Main Office). Some browsers will require a random security word be typed. Please note: all names, passwords and security words are case sensitive. Once you have filled out the form, click the REGISTER button.
3. You will then see the message: "A site administrator will activate your account and notify you when it is ready for use." For security and privacy reasons, the web site administrator of SturgisParents.com will be confirming all registered members. When your account has been activated, you will receive an email confirmation.
4. Once your account has been activated, you can LOG-IN to SturgisParents.com on the left side of the home page under the SPA MEMBERS section. Once logged in, follow the link back to the home page.
5. Edit your profile. In order to send messages through SturgisParents.com, you will need to select YES on one of the following options: Allow your email address to appear on your posts? OR Accept private email from other site members? Messages will be sent to you through this site without your email address being revealed.
How to use the SturgisParents.com carpool forum
1. At the top of the SturgisParents.com homepage, follow the link that says CARPOOLS and from that page, follow the link to the CARPOOL FORUM. (note: If you are not registered and logged-in, you will be unable to view this part of the site.)
2. Under the TOPICS area, choose your town or location and click on the link.
3. Post a message where it says: "Type your comments or questions in the form below"
4. You can opt to receive emails whenever another member replies to the posting for a particular town, or contact the other members by clicking on their name to send a message.
5. If you would like your post deleted, please email sturgisparents@gmail.com
