Sturgis Auction Request!
Have something you love in your home but don't have room for? Could you share it with Sturgis as a donation for our up-coming auction in April? Own a vacation home? Might you be willing to share a weekend or a week in it as a donation towards our annual Auction? Have a friend who possesses special talents that might help us raise money for Sturgis? (ex. An artist who has an extra item that he/she has created, a piano player who is willing to share his/her piano abilities at a wedding or as piano lessons?)
These are just some ideas that you might be able to make come to life? for the student body and faculty at Sturgis. The auction is one way we are able to raise monies to help.
Your donations are needed! Please help.
Donation slips can be found in the main office at Sturgis. Please see Rachel Todoroff for these slips.
If you are interested in being on a committee, helping out with the auction on April 11th, please contact Stephanie at smiles@falmouth.k12.ma.us, or, Barbara at mikeggonefishing@aol.com
We are all so busy at all of the time. We hope and trust that you are able to fit Sturgis into your busy life/lives by supporting it with loads of thoughtful, wonderful auction items and ideas.
Sincerely,
Stephanie H. Miles

Sturgis Makes US News List Of America's Best IB High Schools
From U.S. News & World Report "The International Baccalaureate program is globally recognized for its ability to prepare students for a college education. High school students enrolled in IB classes can earn college credit two ways. They can take individual IB subject tests, for which they can earn credit at some colleges if they score high enough. Students also can opt to earn an IB diploma after completing a series of IB courses and writing an extended essay. Many colleges grant students credit for the IB diploma. This chart spotlights all the IB schools in the America's Best High Schools rankings sorted by the percentage of 12th graders that took at least one IB test at some point during high school."
